Road hazards
Throughout South Africa, cows and bulls roam freely along the sides of country roads and major highways. Most of the time they keep to the side of the road however you have to keep your wits about you just in case they decide to alter direction. Had it not been for our skilled driver Griffiths, the outcome of truck-meets-cow episode one would not have been so good for both parties. Suddenly the brakes are applied and we all yell to hold on seeing what is coming up. A squeal of brakes and a big thump as the truck hits the side of a cow who bolted into the road. The truck stops, the cow has done a double flip and is the right way up. Griffiths gets out to check damage. To the truck - none. To the cow - none. The cow saunters to the other side of the road and gives us a really dirty disdainful look which I didn't know a cow could do.
